Bernhard may be the next to go

It has only been a week since Pischetsrieder's announcement, now rumors that Volkswagen Brand head Wolfgang Bernhard may be also thinking of leaving the company. Volkswagen's Board has asked Bernhard for a commitment by Friday for extending his contract. He has said nothing. One interesting point, however, is that according to German newspapers, Bernhard has threatened to leave Volkswagen as early as May if Winterkorn gets appointed as Pischetsrieder's replacement. This happened so nothing is preventing Bernhard from sticking to his word.

We will keep a close eye on this as there seems to be a power struggle going on in the depths of Volkswagen.
