“100 Million Mission”: Volkswagen Online Prize Game Enters Final Leg

WOLFSBURG, Germany - The “100 million mission” computer game runs until this Sunday at www.volkswagen.com/100millionmission. The winner, to be announced on 2 September, will receive a VW Golf valued at 20,000 Euro.

After three months, the Volkswagen brand on-line game enters the final round. Virtual Internet production of the New Beetle, Golf and Passat and registration for the prize game run until Sunday, 28 August 2005. The winner of the lucky draw to be announced on 2 September can put together a VW Golf valued at 20,000 Euro from the equipment specifications applicable in his or her country.

To date, over 84,000 virtual vehicles have been built. The Golf remains the most popular model and accounts for almost half of total virtual production. Gamers from all over the world have produced this impressive number of vehicles. The on-line game is available in seven languages, giving users from the USA and all over Europe, including Russia, as well as further afield the opportunity to participate. The gamer ranking is headed by Germany, closely followed by Egypt.
The “100 million mission” computer game was launched to mark the record production figure of 100 million vehicles bearing the VW badge. Since the end of May, players from all over the world have applied their skill, speed and knowledge of auto production to master the game’s challenges and win a Golf.
