- All-new 6th generation Passat - completely redesigned and restyled inside and out
- Standard 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder with direct injection, 200 hp, 207 ft.-lbs. torque
- Available 3.6L VR6, 280 hp, 265 ft.-lbs. torque with standard 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic (4th quarter 2006)
- 2.4" more rear legroom than previous generation (37.7" vs. 35.3")
- 1.5" wider track front and rear (61.1" vs. 59.6")
- 3.0" wider body width (71.7" vs. 68.7")
- 106.7" wheelbase (106.7" vs. 106.4")
- Overall length of 188.2" (188.2" vs. 185.2")
- 6-speed manual transmission, optional 6-speed automatic with Tiptronic on 2.0T
- A/C standard on all models
- Dual-zone automatic climate control (Climatronic) standard on 3.6L
- Standard Eight-speaker AM/FM/CD sound system that is MP3 format compatible
- Premium sound with in-dash six-disk CD changer optional on 2.0T, standard on 3.6L.
- Dynaudio sound system optional, marking a first in the U.S. car market. Coming from Denmark's most exclusive stereo maker, the Dynaudio system is custom designed to the Passat to achieve the best audio experience possible.
- Walnut, or brushed aluminum trim optional on 3.6L

- 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder with direct injection, 200 hp, 207 ft.-lbs. Torque optional on Jetta, standard on GLI. 6-speed manual transmission, optional 6-speed DSG automatic with Tiptronic.
- Bi-Xenon headlights with self-leveling and washers standard on GLI, optional on 2.0T
- DVD navigation now optional on all models (except Value Edition)
- 16" alloy wheels now standard on 2.5 and TDI
- 17" alloy wheels standard on GLI, optional on 2.0T
- 18" alloy wheels optional on GLI
- Dual-zone automatic climate control (Climatronic) now optional on all models (except Value Edition)
- Multi-function trip computer now optional on 2.5, TDI, and 2.0T. Standard on GLI
- 115V power outlet and heated front seats on 2.0T. Optional on other models (except Value Edition)
- Telephone prep, rain sensor, and tire pressure monitoring system available on 2.0T

2006 New Beetle
- New standard engine: 2.5L 5-cylinder, 150 hp, 170 ft.-lbs. torque. 5-speed manual transmission, 6-speed automatic with Tiptronic optional
- 2.0L 4-cylinder and 1.8T engines deleted
- Restyled front and rear facias, fenders, and side sills.
- Elongated and restyled head and taillights. Horizontal reverse lights connected by mesh grille.
- ESP standard on all models
- Redesigned console with relocated and larger cup holders.
- Chrome trim around air vents and instrument cluster
- New instrument cluster design
- Three new exterior colors: Shadow Blue, Gecko Green, Salsa Red
- Galactic Blue, Cyber Green, and Tornado Red deleted
- Harvest Moon now available on coupe
- Leatherette seating trim standard, leather optional
- 16" alloy wheels
- 17" alloys optional

2006 GTI
- VR6 engine deleted
- ESP now standard
- Heated seats and washer nozzles now standard
- 17" alloy wheels standard
- Telematics deleted
- Indigo Blue paint deleted
- 45-state emission certification
- All-new GTI will debut in 1st quarter 2006 on new platform with 2.0T engine producing 200 hp. More to come.

2006 Touareg
- New standard engine: 3.6L VR6 with direct injection with 276 hp, a 36 hp increase over the previous VR6. (Delayed introduction)
- Rear view camera and auxiliary multimedia connector now comes with navigation system
- 115V outlet in cargo area replaces 12V outlet
- Roof rack now becomes an accessory
- Servotronic steering becomes standard on 3.6 VR6 and V8
- Chrome replaces wood trim on transmission shift lever
- "Tuft" carpeting replaces "Perlvelour"

2006 Phaeton
- W-12 engine now produces 444 hp
- Active Cruise Control (ACC) now optional on V8 and W-12
- Cell phone preparation for Nokia phones 6310/6340/6360 (not available w/ 4-seater package)
- Bluetooth cell phone preparation for 4 & 5 seater configurations (delayed introduction) deletes Nokia prep.
- Telematics deleted

2006 Golf
- 2-door GL model deleted
- 4-door GL TDI model deleted
- Tornado Red paint deleted
- Telematics deleted
- 2.0L engine 45-state emissions certified
- All-new Golf debuts in 2nd quarter 2006. More to come.

true this is not a complete list. i dont think vw would actually put every standard feature and option they will have.

just to let you know, this is directly from vw and i haven't retyped it in anyway.

If you can trust Google's translation, looks like adaptive lighting is standard on the V10 and W12, at least in the country in which the pdf was written... bummer.

does anyone know about the quality realibility issues for new gti...why is vw trashed so throughly in the surveyes.I feel my every ten year itch for vw breaking out:naturally dont want to buy a car filled with gremlins
