VW to target Dacia Logan

Volkswagen has Renault's Romanian subsidiary, Dacia, on its sights as it plans to release a new saloon that will compete with the Dacia Logan. VW's new car, code named 3-K (in reference to a target manufacturing cost of 3000 euros), will be launched in China in 2008, with other potential markets such as Brazil, Malaysia, India, Russia, and Mexico. No word whether it will be released in North America. The 3-K may be assembled in India.
