VW Canada July Sales Results

AJAX, ON, Aug. 2 /CNW/ - Volkswagen Canada Inc. sales totalled 2,987 new
units for July 2005, compared with 2,808 units in July, 2004, an increase of
6.4%.
This total comprised:

824 Golfs and GTIs
213 New Beetles
1,393 Jettas
485 Passats
72 Touaregs.
Growth in July 2005 was due to the exceptionally strong sales of the New
Beetle coupe and the Passat wagon. Sales of these models in July were up over
70%, compared with July 2004. The Golf/GTI and Passat Sedan also had strong
sales for July. The Golf/GTI sales were up 18.4%, as was the Passat sedan with
an increase of 24.6% compared to July 2004.
