Volkswagen of America Names David Goggins Director, Volkswagen Product and Marketing Strategy

AUBURN HILLS, Mich.—Effective July 1, 2006, David Goggins will take on the newly created role of Director, Product and Marketing Strategy at Volkswagen of America, Inc. Making this announcement was Adrian Hallmark, Executive Vice-President, Volkswagen of America, to whom David will directly report.

“We at Volkswagen are delighted to have David’s passion, commitment and experience, as he will lead our product planning and strategic marketing initiatives,” said Adrian. David’s new role will ensure that Volkswagen’s positioning, pricing, product attributes and launch activities meet the needs of the market and the company.

David joined Bentley Motors Ltd. In 1999 as Director, Global Marketing and Product Strategy in Crewe, England where he served for three years before joining Bentley Motors, Inc. in Auburn Hills, MI. He was a key member of the Bentley Motors, Inc. leadership team responsible for crafting the plans and executing the successful launch of Bentley’s Continental GT and Continental Flying Spur. His marketing skills took Bentley to a whole new level of effectiveness.

Prior to joining Bentley Motors Ltd, David spent two years as General Manager, Marketing for Land Rover – United Kingdom where he was responsible for all national communications activity and agency direction and product planning. These initiatives included advertising, CRM, web, Public Relations and owner communications.

Prior to his Land Rover experience, David held several product marketing and strategy positions within the BMW Group in the USA, Italy and the UK.
