Early Tiguan launch details

We now know many things about Volkswagen's forthcoming compact SUV after the introduction of the Concept Tiguan at the LA Auto Show. But that piece of information that really matters, namely a launch window in North America, was noticeably not included in the press release. That has changes now, though. According to Volkswagen's Steve Keyes, the Tiguan will be launched into the North American public by Fall 2007. At launch, only a gasoline engine, yet to be revealed, will be available. We can expect a TDI, the same "Clean TDI" the Concept Tiguan was sporting at the LA Auto Show, just a few months after during the Winter of next year.
