Volkswagen reports January sales results

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Volkswagen of America, Inc. today announced January 2008 sales of 14,411 units, a 13.2 percent decrease from the January 2007 total of 16,610 vehicles.

Reflecting its all-season capabilities, the hardtop convertible Eos posted a 25 percent increase over January 2007. Similarly, the entry-level Rabbit and value priced New Beetle coupe each posted 10.8 percent increases over January 2007 levels.
